March 13th...and no it was not a Friday!

How to start without sounding like a spoiled little mommy? Each of my sister in laws has had longer than my own deliveries. Even more so than my Hyrum. I guess the difference is that when you start with longer than 5-hour deliveries, that is what you come to expect. And when your first is born 2 hours after you get to the hospital, your second is born within an hour and the third is born within 20 minutes of the doctor arriving (10 minutes after me), then having a baby not come until 8 hours after you get to the hospital is a huge and scary thing. Hind site better than before, I would have asked for an epidural instead of waiting until the nurse tells me "It's going to be another 2 hours" Trust me I would have. Lucky for me, my hubby, my mom, and the nurse, that 2 hours was brought down to 5 minutes as Hyrum finally turned and shot for the end of the table as soon as I rolled to my back. Hyrum must have heard the footsteps of the anesthesiologist coming to help his mommy with the pain and decided to finally cooperate. Though again, if I had known the Doctor was going to start right in on stitching me up, I would have asked for the epidural even though Hyrum was out before either came to the room.

This was within minutes after Hyrum was born, look closely at his ear, and you will see the second noticeable problem.

The family was completely shocked at how much and how dark his hair was.
Do you think that Dad is a bit proud?

Dad was the first one to hold our little fuzzy guy!
Grandma was so shocked that she had to measure how long his hair was. 1 1/8 inches long.
