John is a software engineer working from home. When we have a computer problem, we are SO glad that he knows what he's doing. John loves to learn about anything and loves to work with our kids. John hates watching movies without the remote to fast forward the "slow" parts (thus, I don't watch movies with him unless in the theater). John has many friends and makes friends easily. He currently has business all over the world, but he loves who we works with and what he is currently doing,
I(Jennifer) work as a Critical Care Tech at a local hospital working in the ER. I love meeting the patients and working with the staff. I have recently started back to school and will be finished with my degree in Health Promotion with a minor in Nutrition as soon as I get accepted to PA school. I play the piano (hence the title of our blog), and attempt to teach my own kids. I love working with people and giving encouragement, but getting strength from other people with a story to tell.
Rachel is now 21 years old. She is a great big sister. She loves to tease and pester, but in the end she is such a help with house and siblings. She loves to play the piano and to create her own music. She graduated with her High School diploma and her Associates Degree at the same time 2 years ago and is currently working toward a Chemical Engineering degree.
Sarah is 17 years old. She is the first to get others to laugh. She is outwardly caring towards others. She loves giving and receiving hugs. She also plays the piano and after a bit of practice can pretty much play anything (simple) that she hears. She also loves to sing. She has such a beautiful voice, this is the only part that she is shy about in front of others. She has picked up the Violin a few years ago, and can play that by ear also. Sarah is currently a Senior in High School and taking College classes on the side. She got her CNA this past year as she hopes to enter the Medical field one day.
Karl is 14. He loves school and playing with friends. His best friend is his Grandpa. He is a great help around the house and with a quick "puppy dog" look from his mom, he is quick to pitch in. He loves scouts and reading his scriptures. He excels in Math. He plays the cello and I have loved getting him to play songs with me.
Hyrum is 11 years old. I don't know where the time has gone for him especially. He is the main reason for my starting this blog. And the main reason I have been bugged by others to start a blog. Hyrum was born with what is called Oculo-Auriculo-Vertebral Spectrum. In English, this means he is not symmetrical. I will go into details later on as I don't want this particular post to be THAT long. But he is a great addition to our family. He loves to laugh, learn, and play with anybody. He has an uncanny ability to know exactly where he is at all times and is a great back seat driver. There is no stopping this young man as the word "no" is not in his vocabulary.
That is our family!
