Heading home

After a few weeks away from home, the kids were ready to head out of town with their "spoils"

Karl especially had a good time at the picnic at the park

 Karl loved helping the Sophono's guys set up their booth

 Hyrum loves wearing the sophono's softband.

But afterwards he was super tired and decided to tuck in his new animals to bed!

When we went to the park for lunch, Karl made good use of the swing set.  He showed the other kids how it was done!

Cookies

The kids had a good reunion this year.  My sister Julie put it on up close to her house.  There is an old school that is empty and only used for city events.  The kids had a good time making cookies.

Our family most hung out as John was working and I was still recovering from vein surgery.  But that was ok with them as that was what we all needed!

Byron Days

We have learned that the city of Byron has a great city days.  With donkey rides.

Karl loved being twirled.  He got super dizzy, but never lost his lunch over it.

 Though he did have a hard time walking afterwards!

Hyrum allergies

Hyrum has informed his cousin that he is allergic to cactus. (He doesn't like the smell)

Burrell reunion 2014 day 1

We are on our way to Wyoming for the Burrell reunion. We left about 2:30 am taking with us our 2 boys, plus my brother David's boys Devon(7) & Sheldon(4). Because we were doing so well on time, we thought they would enjoy seeing the hot springs in thermopolis, wy. Kids were loving seeing the hot springs until They asked what made the hot springs. John tells them a volcano is under it and Hyrum pipes up " I'm too young to die". Once they got over the fact that they were not going to die, they loved the swinging bridge and walkway around a few active springs. Of course once we got back in the car we wished we hadn't stopped as before we had 4 pretty docile kids and after wards we weren't sure who got in our car with us, for they are not docile!

 But pretty soon this one dropped off.

 The 2 in the back never did sleep.  But we got throw up instead!

 This one was awake the entire time...

 until 15 minutes before we got to Julie's house

 And then he slept for a few hours. I was so worried he would be up all night, but he didn't.  He slept that night also despite the late afternoon nap!

Hyrum has the best faces!  We got him in a good mood enough to share with us all!
