Appendicostomy

For two weeks we had great success with bowel management. From there it all went down hill. We had many bowel movements during the day, all of which Hyrum did not recognize that he had to go. We went to full on pull-ups and horrible diaper rashes. 

It was a hard decision to make, but knew that Hyrum would not be able to go to school on medications. Hyrum is scheduled for an appendicostomy August 6. He does not know the date has been set, as every time we talk to him about it, he refuses to have the surgery.

Helpful Hyrum

Hyrum loves his mom!  I was not feeling better and he was determined to make me feel better...that or he was looking for an excuse to stay up!
