Hyrum's Funnies

Hyrum comes up with the funniest things to say. Well all my kids did, but I was a horrible mother and never wrote them down.  That is one of many regrets!  So I won't do that this round...took me to my 4th to get it right!

A couple of weeks ago, My mother and I was making Grape Juice.  We had gotten a batch in the cooker and went out to get the next batch of grapes cut off the veins.  Hyrum was a great help and loved pulling the grapes off the veins without eating too many of them.  When we came back inside, my mother and I realized that we had not clamped the spout and thus had Grape Juice EVERY WHERE!!!!  Hyrum's first response was "I didn't do it!"  He thought it SO funny that Grandma would make a mess all over her own kitchen!  We lost about a quart and a half, very sad, but loved his response!

Story behind the funny: Hyrum has had two new cousins born, a boy and a girl.  Rachel, pulled Hyrum aside while at a family gathering where both baby's were present and asked him if he would like to have a baby girl in the house. He immediately scrunched up his nose with an instant "eww, yuck" kinda look and a quick "no" response.  When asked if he would like a baby boy in the house, his response was a quick "have you lost your marbles" kinda look and a "no way the baby would mess up my trains".  He must have been mulling it over because... Wednesday, Hyrum and I were heading to Lowe's we were going to be closing on our house today, so I wanted to buy some new locks and start the process of new Cabinets.  As Hyrum was getting his shoes and socks on he asked me very seriously, "Mom, can we buy my new baby brother to mess up my trains at lowes?"  Where would you buy a new baby brother at Lowes?  Is that down on Isle 50 after the construction Isle, because I haven't seen that Isle!

Of all the beautiful sounds in the world, I believe a child singing a song tops it all.  I have tried in the past to record Hyrum singing to no avail.  Well as I was doing his nightly enema's he started to sing.  I put on my recorder, you can't see his face, but you can here his music!
